Here is how to install IBO Player Pro in one sentence: install the app from your device's store (or with Downloader code 923441 on a Firestick), open it once to reveal its MAC address and Device Key, then go to iboplayer.pro/manage-playlists/list/ on a phone or computer, sign in with that MAC and key, and add your M3U playlist link there. The playlist appears on the TV a few seconds later. That last part — activating and adding the playlist on the manufacturer's website rather than inside the app — is the step that trips up almost everyone, and it is the reason this guide exists.
IBO Player Pro is the player ZyroTV support recommends most often to first-time customers, because the setup is identical on every TV and box: no typing long URLs with a remote, no per-device quirks, one web form. This walkthrough covers installation on Firestick, Android TV, phones, Samsung, LG and Apple devices, the full activation flow, the one-time license fee, multiple playlists, EPG, and the errors people actually hit. If you would rather compare it with other apps first, our IPTV player guides cover every player we support.
What IBO Player Pro is (and what it is not)
IBO Player Pro is a paid IPTV player app for smart TVs, streaming sticks, phones and tablets. Like every player, it is an empty shell: it contains no channels, no movies, no subscription. It plays whatever playlist you give it — in your case, the ZyroTV M3U link that arrives in your welcome email. You buy the playlist from a provider; you buy (or trial) the player from its developer. They are two separate purchases from two separate companies, and confusing the two is the root of most "it doesn't work" messages we get.
What makes IBO Player Pro different from IPTV Smarters or TiViMate is where you set it up. Those apps have a login screen inside the app: you type your server URL, username and password on the TV. IBO Player Pro has no such screen. On first launch it shows you two identifiers — a MAC address and a Device Key — and expects you to do everything else on its website from a phone or computer. The app on the TV then pulls the playlist you saved online. Once you understand that split, the whole thing takes minutes.
🔑 The one thing to understand before you start
You never type your ZyroTV details into the IBO Player Pro app. You type them into iboplayer.pro/manage-playlists/list/ on a phone or PC, after signing in with the MAC and Device Key the TV shows you. The TV app only displays what the website has stored for that MAC.
Why do we recommend it to beginners despite the extra step? Three reasons. The activation flow is identical on a $30 Fire TV Stick, a Samsung, an LG and an iPhone, so support can talk anyone through it without asking which device they own. Typing a 100-character URL on a phone keyboard is far less error-prone than pecking it out with a TV remote. And because the playlist lives on your IBO account, replacing a dead stick means installing the app on the new one and re-adding the same link in about a minute.
What you need before installing
Gather these first and the setup is a five-minute job. Skip them and you will be walking back and forth between the couch and the laptop.
- Your ZyroTV M3U playlist URL. It is the long link in your activation email, starting with
http://and containingget.php?username=…&password=…&type=m3u_plus. This is the link IBO Player Pro wants — not the separate Xtream Codes server address, username and password (those are for apps like IPTV Smarters and TiViMate). - A second screen. A phone, tablet or computer with a browser, on any network, to open the IBO website. You will type the MAC and key from the TV into it.
- A payment method for the activation fee if you decide to keep the app after the trial window (details below).
- Enough bandwidth. Roughly 10–15 Mbps per HD stream and about 25 Mbps for 4K. The app cannot fix a slow connection.
| Credential | What it looks like | Use it in |
|---|---|---|
| M3U playlist URL | One long http://…/get.php?username=…&password=…&type=m3u_plus link | IBO Player Pro (pasted on the website), Hot Player, IBO XPlayer, Airplayer |
| Xtream Codes login | Three separate fields: server URL, username, password | IPTV Smarters Pro, TiViMate, UHF, IPTVX |
| EPG URL (optional) | A …/xmltv.php?username=…&password=… link | The EPG field when adding a playlist on the IBO site |
Every ZyroTV plan includes both credential types, so nothing changes on our side whichever player you pick. It is only a question of copying the right one.
How to install IBO Player Pro on each device
Installation is the easy half. Find the app store route for your device below; the activation section after this applies to all of them equally.
Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV
IBO Player Pro is not in the Amazon Appstore, so on a Firestick you install the official installer file through the Downloader app. This is the standard route for most IPTV players on Fire TV and takes about three minutes. If you are new to it, our guide to the best IPTV app for Firestick walks through Downloader in more detail.
- Allow installs from Downloader. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options (on newer Fire OS, open Settings → My Fire TV → About and click the device name seven times to reveal Developer Options). Choose Install unknown apps and turn on Downloader. If you do not have Downloader yet, search the Appstore for it and install it first.
- Enter the code. Open Downloader and type 923441 in the URL box, then press Go. Downloader resolves the code to the official IBO Player Pro installer and fetches it.
- Install. When the download finishes, choose Install, wait for "App installed", then choose Done and let Downloader delete the leftover file to free space.
- Open the app. Find IBO Player Pro under Your Apps & Channels (press and hold Home for the shortcut). Launch it once — it will display your MAC address and Device Key. Leave that screen up and continue to the activation section.
Android TV, Google TV, NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV
Open the Google Play Store on the TV, search IBO Player Pro, and install the app published by IBO Player. If your box does not list it (older or regional Play Store builds sometimes hide it), install Downloader from Play, enter code 923441 exactly as in the Firestick steps, and allow the install when prompted. Launch it once to reveal the MAC and key.
Android phones and tablets
Search IBO Player Pro in Google Play and install. Phones make good test devices: activate the phone first to confirm your ZyroTV playlist is correct, then you know any TV-side problem is the TV, not the link. Note that each device has its own MAC and needs its own activation, so a phone is a second license, not a free spare.
Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) smart TVs
Press the Home button, open the Samsung Apps or LG Content Store, search "IBO Player Pro", and install directly on the TV — no sideloading, no stick required. Honest caveat: availability in the Samsung and LG stores varies by country and by TV model year, and apps are occasionally removed and re-listed. If the search returns nothing, check the developer's site for the current supported-TV list before you spend time on workarounds. A $30 Fire TV Stick plugged into an HDMI port is the reliable fallback and usually gives a smoother experience than a 2018 TV's built-in processor anyway. Our rundown of which devices support IPTV compares the options, and the dedicated Samsung and LG smart TV setup guide covers both stores, the alternative players and the older models that cannot install apps.
iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Open the App Store, search IBO Player Pro, and install. On Apple TV, search from the App Store app on the tvOS home screen. Apple users get the same MAC-and-key flow as everyone else, and the app supports the standard iOS niceties (Picture-in-Picture on iPad, AirPlay). Availability on the App Store has also fluctuated historically, so if it is missing, UHF or IPTVX are strong Apple-native alternatives that use your Xtream login instead.
IBO Player Pro activation: adding your playlist on iboplayer.pro
This is the part that matters, and the part that is different from every other player. Do it from a phone or computer with the TV screen still showing the MAC and Device Key.
- Read the MAC address and Device Key off the TV. The first-launch screen shows both. The MAC looks like
a1:b2:c3:d4:e5:f6; the key is a short code of letters and numbers. Photograph the screen with your phone so you can zoom in — a mistaken 0/O or 1/I is the most common cause of "device not found". - Open the management page. On your phone or PC, go to https://iboplayer.pro/manage-playlists/list/. Bookmark it; you will use it again whenever you renew or change providers.
- Sign in with the MAC and key. Enter the MAC address and Device Key exactly as shown, including the colons in the MAC, and log in. There is no separate username or password for this site — the device identifiers are the login.
- Click "Add playlist". Give it a name (anything — "ZyroTV" is sensible) and paste your full M3U playlist URL into the URL field. Paste it from the email; do not retype it. If there is an EPG URL field, paste the
xmltv.phplink from the same email. - Save. The playlist now belongs to that MAC in IBO's system.
- Back on the TV, reload the app. Press back or reopen IBO Player Pro. It fetches the playlist you just saved and starts loading channels; the first load can take 30–60 seconds because the ZyroTV lineup is large. After that, live TV, movies and series are in the main menu.
⚠️ Paste the long M3U link, not the username and password
Nine out of ten "playlist won't load" tickets we see with this player come from one mistake: pasting the Xtream server address, or only the username and password, into the playlist field. IBO Player Pro needs the complete get.php?username=…&password=…&type=m3u_plus link. If your pasted URL does not contain get.php, it is the wrong credential.
💡 Keep the link as http://
Your ZyroTV M3U link begins with http://. Some browsers and note apps "helpfully" rewrite it to https:// when you copy and paste. If the playlist saves but no channels appear, open the URL on the IBO site, check the first five characters, and correct them.
The activation fee: what IBO Player Pro costs
IBO Player Pro is not free software. After a short trial period on a new device, the app asks you to activate it, and activation is a one-time fee per device paid on the developer's website — not a monthly subscription, and not something ZyroTV charges or collects. The exact price varies by region and changes from time to time, so check iboplayer.pro for the current amount rather than trusting a figure from a forum post; historically it has been in the range of a modest one-off payment, well under what most people spend on a single month of cable.
Two honest points. First, the fee is tied to the MAC address, so if a device dies you may need to activate its replacement separately — one more reason to try the app on the device you will actually use before paying. Second, the trial is real: the app plays your playlist during the trial, so you can confirm everything works with ZyroTV before you spend a cent on the player. Pay only through the official site. Anyone on social media selling "lifetime IBO activation" for less than the developer charges is reselling someone else's problem.
Managing multiple playlists, EPG and settings
Because playlists live on your IBO account, managing them is a browser task, not a remote-control task. Everything below happens at the same management page you used to activate.
- Multiple playlists. Click Add playlist again to store more than one — for example, a ZyroTV playlist and a second one from another household member's plan. In the app, the playlist switcher on the home screen lets you jump between them. Each playlist still counts against its own provider connection limit: a ZyroTV 1-connection plan is one simultaneous stream regardless of how many players hold the link.
- Renewing or changing providers. Your ZyroTV M3U link stays the same when you renew, so there is nothing to change. If you ever switch to a different playlist, edit the existing entry's URL on the website and reload the app; no reinstall needed.
- EPG (the on-screen guide). ZyroTV's
type=m3u_pluslink carries EPG mapping, so most channels show the guide automatically. If the guide is blank, paste thexmltv.phpEPG URL from your email into the playlist's EPG field on the site, then use Settings → Update EPG (or reload the playlist) on the TV. Guide data can take a few minutes to download the first time. - Time zone. If programs show at the wrong hour, set your time zone in the app's settings; the EPG is delivered in UTC and shifted locally.
- Parental lock and favorites. Both are in the app itself: long-press a channel to favorite it, and set a parental PIN in settings to hide adult categories.
- Player engine. If a specific channel stutters, switch the decoder between the built-in player options in settings. Hardware decoding is faster on most sticks; software decoding fixes the occasional audio-sync issue.
Common IBO Player Pro errors and how to fix them
These are the failures that account for nearly every support conversation about this player, in rough order of frequency. Check them in order before assuming the service is down.
| What you see | Most likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Playlist saves on the site but no channels load | Wrong link type (Xtream details instead of the M3U URL) or https:// instead of http:// | Edit the playlist on iboplayer.pro; paste the full get.php…type=m3u_plus link and confirm it starts with http:// |
| "Device not found" / cannot sign in on the website | MAC or Device Key typed wrong (0/O, 1/I, missing colons) | Re-read the TV screen; copy the MAC with colons; try lowercase letters |
| App shows a trial-expired or activation message | Trial window ended on that device | Pay the one-time activation for that MAC on the official site, then reload |
| Playlist loads, channels error on play | ZyroTV subscription expired, or connection limit reached (another device is streaming) | Check your plan status; stop the other stream or move to a 2–3 connection plan |
| Guide is blank or hours off | EPG not fetched yet, or wrong time zone | Add the xmltv.php EPG URL, run Update EPG, set time zone in settings |
| Playlist appears on the phone app but not the TV | Each device has its own MAC — you added the playlist to the phone's account | Sign in on the site with the TV's MAC and key and add the playlist there too |
| Freezing and buffering on live channels | Bandwidth, Wi-Fi congestion, or a stick that is out of memory | Move to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet, close background apps, restart the stick; see the buffering guide below |
If a channel stutters every evening at the same time while the rest of the internet is fine, that is almost always the connection or the device rather than the playlist. Our guide on why IPTV buffers and how to fix it goes through the diagnosis step by step, from Wi-Fi band to decoder settings.
IBO Player Pro vs IBO Player vs TiViMate
People search for all three, and they are often mixed up. IBO Player (no "Pro") is the older, no-cost app from the same family; it uses the same website-based playlist model but has fewer features, a more basic interface and less frequent updates, and its store availability is spottier. TiViMate is the power user's choice on Android and Fire TV: it takes your Xtream login directly on the TV, has the best EPG grid in the category, and offers multi-view and recording on its paid tier — but it does not exist for Samsung, LG or Apple devices at all.
| IBO Player Pro | IBO Player | TiViMate | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | One-time fee per device after trial | No cost | Basic tier no cost; Premium is an annual fee |
| Where you add the playlist | On iboplayer.pro with MAC + key | On the developer's site with MAC + key | Inside the app on the TV |
| Credential type | M3U URL | M3U URL | Xtream login or M3U |
| Samsung / LG | Yes (store availability varies) | Sometimes | No |
| Apple TV / iOS | Yes | Limited | No |
| Firestick / Android TV | Yes (Downloader on Firestick) | Yes | Yes — its home turf |
| EPG grid quality | Good | Basic | Best in class |
| Best for | One setup flow across every TV in the house; beginners | Trying the IBO model at no cost | Android/Fire TV users who want the most powerful guide |
Our recommendation in plain terms: if you own a mix of devices or you are setting this up for a relative, IBO Player Pro's "same flow everywhere" wins. If you only ever watch on a Firestick or Shield and you care about the guide, TiViMate is the better app — our walkthrough of logging in to an IPTV server on TiViMate shows the Xtream-login route. Both play the same ZyroTV subscription, so this is a choice about the remote in your hand, not the channels on the screen.
✅ Where IBO Player Pro shines
- Identical setup on Firestick, Android, Samsung, LG and Apple
- Playlist entered on a real keyboard, not a TV remote
- Replacing a device is a one-minute re-add, not a re-setup
- Trial lets you verify your ZyroTV playlist before paying for the app
- Multiple playlists managed from one web page
⛔ Where it falls short
- Per-device activation fee (price varies; check the official site)
- Needs a second screen for setup — confusing if you expected an in-app login
- Smart-TV store availability is inconsistent by region and model year
- EPG and multi-view are weaker than TiViMate on Android
- Wrong link type silently fails — the app gives little feedback
Have the app installed and the MAC on screen? All that is missing is a playlist. ZyroTV plans start at $15 for a month with 30,000+ live channels, 120,000+ movies and series, instant activation and a 7-day money-back guarantee — the M3U link arrives by email the moment you order.
